About Scott Bushley

Scott Bushley is a Boston, Massachusetts-based investment management professional who, throughout the course of his 20-year career, has provided oversight to business operations comprised of nearly $2 trillion in assets under management, provided guidance to more than 125 salespeople across 46 countries, and developed financial modeling for the acquisition of multiple companies. In September 2018, Mr. Bushley joined the executive team as a partner at Granite Point Capital, a Massachusetts-based hedge fund manager where he is responsible for finance and business operations. Prior to joining GPC, he served as BNY Mellon Investment Management’s head of business operations. In that role, Scott Bushley supported the COO by executing strategic initiatives such as the merger of United States-based affiliates, vendor contract renegotiations, and custody fee reviews.

Earlier in his 11-year tenure with BNY Mellon, Scott Bushley led the formation, registration and commercialization of a Multi-Asset team – BNY Investment Strategy and Solutions Group and directed the firm’s Global Distribution Information Technology Steering Committee. Before joining BNY Mellon, he served as an intern and analyst with Atlantic Trust, where he analyzed the effectiveness of hedge fund, real estate, and private equity investments as opposed to equity portfolios and fixed income. Mr. Bushley received his MBA from Boston College and BA in psychology from Vanderbilt University.
